AUM!!

For ages now there has been one ongoing fight in India… the communal riots between Hindus and Muslims. There are political interventions to this too. It has gone to such extremes at times that there are Muslims who wouldn’t dare enter the Hindu dominated areas in the fright of getting killed and vice versa.

And in this age this news was a surprise to me and a wakeup call to all the Indians who divide themselves into Muslims, Hindus and Christians. This just goes to say that there are people who still believe that humanism, peace and love are GOD’s only religion. Please do read through this

The shiva shrine(900 year old) mentoned in the article is a must stop for pilgrims who visit the Amarnath temple. Quoting the article"After the migration of the hindu pandits from the village two muslim priests - Mohammed Abdullah and Ghula Hassan kept the doors of the Mamalka temple open and bells continued to toll."

"We not only took care of the temple but also held aartis everyday ", Ghulam Hassan said. They also made sure that besides ensuring the safety of the three feet long black shivaling, every devotee goes with prasad.

"We have faith in Shiva. We not only maintained the temple, undertook repairs but also ensured the temple remains completely functional despite threats from militants", Hassan said.

After reading this article, there was just one thought in my mind: "And people still keep fighting for the right of religion, the Ramsethu Bridge and theBabri Masjid."

One thing that I really don’t comprehend to … we react and create havoc to the destruction of temples and mosques why don’t we react to something like this and initiate a harmony between communities????
